This is a really easy recipe. You can either use pre-made cookies or store bought cookies. If you would like a good cookie recipe, I will be posting one very soon. Peanut butter sandwich recipe is as follows:
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups cool whip or homeade whipped cream
pre-made chocolate chip cookies
Mix together peanut butter and sugar. Gently fold in whipped cream. Spread a generous layer of the cream on the back of a cookie and top with another. Enjoy!

Dirt Cake Recipe!!
Remember making those cute little dirt cups in Elementary school? Boy I sure do. I never forgot how much I loved it. One of the best and funnest desserts I have ever eaten. There is this restaurant here in Vegas that serves s'mores. When they bring the dessert to the table, they bring a little campfire looking thing on the plate with chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallow. This restaurant is a very high end 5 star restaurant so it was really neat to me that they served this dessert. This is how I think of sweets. They have to be fun and bring you back to great memories. Dirt cake does just that for me. The recipe is as follows:
1 package double stuft Oreos
2 pints heavy whipping cream
1 cup hot fudge or chocolate syrup
2 milky way candy bars broken up
1/2 package gummy worms (optional)
Grind oreos in a food processor such as the magic bullet (what I use) or place oreos in a ziplock free of air and crush with a mallot. In a blender or mixer, beat together the chocolate and heavy whipping cream until stiff (do not over beat). In a large glass bowl, place a layer of the oreo crumbs on the bottom. Add 1/4 of the whipping cream mixture then top with more oreo and repeat these steps 3 more times. Top the cake with sprinkles of remaining oreo crumbs, milky way, and worms. Enjoy!

Welcome To Julie's Sweet Bites!
As a busy mom of two small children I thought, what would be better than to spend my spare time making the things that make my family and I happy.....SWEETS! I have taken my most favorite desserts and constructed fun sweet treats. What I pride myself most on are my variety of soft and warm cookies and my cookie dough truffles. The great thing about my cookie dough truffles is that they are 100% egg free which means worry free. I also have a few pies I have created. I am continuously coming up with new and unique desserts because it is fun for me. I now would like to share them with others. Besides my family, nothing brings more warmth to my heart than watching people smile from eating the food I create. These are pictures of 4 different truffles I make. The pink are sugar cookie truffles coated with a cherry almond chocolate. They are fun and delicious. The white are the ever popular snicker doodle coated with a white chocolate and dusted with cinnamon-sugar. The snickerdoodle are a favorite among my friends. The chocolate with gold stars are the classic chocolate chip cookie coated with a semi-sweet chocolate. I love these because they are the classic cookie dough you want to just eat a whole bowl of. Lastly, the chocolate with pink dusting are peanut butter chocolate. They are a peanut butter cookie dough coated with creamy milk chocolate. These are are my husband's absolute favorite. If you ever want to order some, please e-mail me at sunlightmommy@gmail.com. I am currently taking orders from family and friends. For now, please enjoy the "eye candy" pictures.
